Y Boutique is a women’s retail store specializing in youthful and chic styles. To accomany the opening of the new store location in Old San Juan, a full re-branding was required to level up their visual aesthetic and reposition the brand it in the market in accordance with the company’s gwoth. The final design solution and the color palette is representative of the traditional hues found in the streets of Old San Juan. It was quite a challege, being asked to design a single letter with a high-grade and unique personality. The custom typography design exploration was extensive, finally landing in a solution that successfully encapsulates the boutique owner’s fun and bold fashion style. I also designed some patterns created with a hand-lettered cursive ‘y’ to be used as a fun decorative element.
