This little package was designed to educate other designers about the importance of sustainability within the print industry. It’s becoming increasingly important that designers become aware of the impact their material choices have on the environment. Proving that low-tech aesthetic can look modern too, this package and its contents put sustainable graphic design theory into practice. The letterpress postcards were printed on handmade recycled paper and with plant-based ink, the package is adhesive-free, and the emphatic elements were created through a lack of ink rather than excess. It was essentially an experiment designed to nudge creatives within the print industry towards incorporating the use of sustainably sourced materials into their practice.
