This accordion book is a reinterpretation of an old Victorian poem by C.C. Bombaugh, dated 1867. I aimed to glorify the concept of textspeak, which is a term used to describe the abbreviations people used when typing text messages. The poem was originally written using very similar abbreviations to that of text messages sent between the first cellphones with numeral keyboards. Gaining inspiration from the early Nokias and their bitmap fonts, I placed the vintage poem in a modern context with an aim to make it attractive and exciting to younger audiences.
